$175,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

Accounting powers every business, but most tools in this space were built decades ago outdated, slow, and not designed for modern AI capabilities. Today, finance and accounting teams face growing challenges with data complexity and fragmented systems. These problems are real, hard, and increasingly urgent but solvable.

This Series A startup is building a modern financial data platform that combines data, workflows, and AI-first solutions to help accounting teams produce accurate, detailed financial data faster and enable better business decisions. Theyve achieved strong product-market fit with a rapidly growing customer base and are backed by top-tier investors and founders from leading technology companies.

About the Role

This role involves owning end-to-end execution of product features and contributing to overall product direction. The company is looking for experienced engineers with strong fundamentals who enjoy building from the ground up and solving challenging technical and user-facing problems.

What You'll Work On

• Building the financial data platform: Develop systems for synchronizing and transforming data into unified models for reporting and analytics.
• Scaling the automation layer: Automate accounting workflows, parse source documents, extract information, and synchronize with external systems.
• Creating new transactional foundations: Connect and automate data around company assets and activities to improve insights and automation.
• Working end-to-end: From backend infrastructure to user-facing features, collaborating with product and design teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong background in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.js
• Interest in working at a Series A startup where engineers own product decisions and build core systems from scratch
• Experience building full-stack products from start to finish and collaborating closely with product and design teams
• Teams operate out of either San Francisco Bay Area or NYC
