General Gastroenterologist – Brighton, MA
Full-Time | Academic-Affiliated Community Practice

A well-respected community medical center in Brighton, MA, in collaboration with a major Boston academic teaching hospital, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Gastroenterologist to join its expanding GI service.
This role offers the best of both worlds: a community-based clinical practice with access to the resources, collegiality, and academic environment of a leading tertiary care system.
The General Gastroenterologist will serve as a key clinical provider within a busy GI service, delivering high-quality outpatient and inpatient consultative care. The position includes an academic and clinical affiliation with a nationally recognized gastroenterology department, offering opportunities for teaching and scholarly involvement if desired.
Provide outpatient and inpatient GI care within a community medical center setting
Perform routine GI procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy
Diagnose and manage a broad range of GI conditions (GERD, liver disease, IBS, IBD, GI bleeding, etc.)
Participate in a rotating inpatient coverage and call schedule
Collaborate with a connected tertiary GI team for advanced cases and referrals
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including APPs, GI nurses, and anesthesia support
Optional academic involvement, including:
Teaching medical students and residents
Participation in quality improvement initiatives
Opportunities for scholarly collaboration
MD or DO from an accredited institution
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
Completion of an ACGME-accredited GI fellowship
Eligibility for medical licensure in Massachusetts
Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
Interest in community-based practice within an academic-affiliated environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
